Oh, how I love the holidays!
I personally love to receive a gift certificate. I can get what I want and I know that the person giving it wants me to be happy!

I confess, I say that every year. And every year I am behind before I even begin. If I am lucky enough to get invited to a holiday party, I scramble to find something “blingy” or festive for the occasion. It was so easy in the seventies! Just put on your festive holiday sweater, pull on your elastic waist black pants and you were ready to party!
During the holidays it is so fun to shop online and seek out those “just perfect” gifts for friends, family, co-workers, neighbors etc. You avoid the long checkout lines, the parking frenzy and the sale-crazy people that fill the malls and big-box stores. However, once you select your items online, get the items in the “cart” and see the total, the shipping is sometimes as much as the items! Spoiler alert!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love the whole reason for the day. I love seeing my family… I love the chaos… and I love the smells of cinnamon, spice and everything nice that comes out of the kitchen.
Are you looking for the perfect Father’s Day gift? Tired of giving ties and “Best Dad” coffee mugs?
No one knows “Dad” better than you, but sometimes finding the perfect gift seems impossible.
It means that it is a good time to think about the colors that surround you in your environment, as well as the colors that you choose to wear. How often have you felt uncomfortable in a room or a place and did not understand why? Or, why do you feel good wearing some clothes and not others? It’s probably the color. Colors are non-verbal and create a certain emotional and physical reaction that is worth noting. Since ancient times, people have used the power of colors to affect emotional and physical behaviors. Color can impact an outcome based on the context.
Every year I can’t wait for Mardi Gras. Unfortunately, I don’t head to Louisiana where this fun holiday began, but I do celebrate the event by dressing in the colors of Mardi Gras, wearing a few beads and cooking up some incredible jambalaya. Of course, my festive outfit begins with purple, gold and green toe socks! What could be more fun?!
